Steam Saunas
periods and saunas/steam rooms?

are there any scientific, doctorial suggestions to avoid saunas or steam rooms while on your period?
thanks

Generally speaking sauna is one of the best things you can do for yourself. Steam rooms, not so much, because the high humidity makes it feel like you are drowning (in fact, you are sucking in water vapor with the air you breathe and it condenses in your lungs).

I know these things because I trained as a massage therapist and worked in a spa with a couple of nurses. None of them ever had anything bad to say about taking sauna while on your period. The heat of the sauna may be helpful with your cramps, or maybe not.

Jump at the Chance to Own a Steam Sauna

Everyone enjoys taking a few minutes out of his or her busy lives to relax. If we did not have a few moments to ourselves every once in awhile, life would simply be impossible. In a perfect world, you would be able to find a place like a sauna room in which no one could bother you and you can relax completely.

When you are on your quest to find such a place, many of your friends will offer suggestions: “Take a vacation to the Bahamas!” “Install a hot tub in your backyard!” “Adopt a pet!” However, there are problems with each one of these options. If you take a vacation, your escape is only a week long, if that. You also receive a nasty wake up call when the credit card bills arrive with your flight, hotel, and expensive dining charges. A hot tub seems like a more reasonable investment because you can use it daily, unless of course you have freezing cold winters or neighbors who enjoy looking into your backyard. Having a pet is very therapeutic, that is once you survive all the stressful days of potty training them and replacing your torn-up drapes and shoes.

In order to avoid these problems but still have your personal escape from the craziness that is this world, you need a steam sauna! This wonderful shower enclosure has various steam settings, a jetted shower panel to give you a wonderful massage while you rinse off, and a rain showerhead. Depending on the model you decide to buy, you can even have a foot massager, a built-in seat, and different chromotherapy options. Does it not sound like paradise?

Unlike a weeklong tropical vacation, a backyard hot tub, or a new pet, you have nothing to worry about if you decide to purchase a home sauna. This shower unit relaxes you completely and, because it is indoors, you do not need to worry about cold weather or nosy neighbors. The well self-sealed shower enclosure also will not make any messes on the floor like Fido might. These units are even reasonably priced! As long as you do your shopping online, you should be able to find the perfect unit at the price you can afford.
