It’s good to cleanse the body of sweat every once in a while, to release toxins, but as a weight cutting method, it’s unhealthy in the short term, but long term, it’s ok, but diet and exercise works best. Portable saunas do work, I have one myself. But if you don’t want the hassle of all that money being spent, do yourself a favor and buy a sauna suit instead. Does the same trick.
