Rejuvenate your body and mind with the one-person Ironman Carbon Pro indoor sauna, which can comfortably seat up to 3 people. It’s constructed of handsome Canadian hemlock wood and features Foot Infrared Therapy (F.I.T.) to help soothe and rejuvenate all the nerve zones in your feet. The sauna can heat up to 140 degrees Fahrenheit (F) via the wall-mounted Carbon Pro heating elements as well as the in-floor radiant heat system that uses Far Infrared (FIR) energy, which promotes blood circulation and helps your body release harmful toxins. Relax to your favorite tunes with the integrated stereo sound system with iPod/MP3 player connection.

Benefits of FIR Heat Therapy
  • Helps the body circulate blood
  • Can help soothe sore and aching areas of the body
  • Promotes the body’s immune system
  • Can nourish and purify the skin
  • Promotes weight loss by burning calories
  • Provides relaxation to the body
  • Energizes the body
  • Great way to reduce stress

The human body can absorb Far Infrared ray energy, turning light energy into heat energy, which is deeply penetrated into the layers of skin tissue up to 2 inches, causing the blood vessels to expand. This causes better blood circulation and the heat produced, helps to release harmful toxins through perspiration.

With the F.I.T. in-floor radiant infrared heat system, simply rest your feet on the tempered glass floor panel to receive soothing and deep, gentle penetrating heat that can help improve blood circulation throughout the whole body. After a 10-minute warm-up, you’ll experience continuous heat energy flow ascending from the floor, which blends with heat from upper Carbon Pro heaters for even heat distribution. It has a separate on/off switch from the main control panel, enabling you to use it separately or in conjunction with the Carbon Pro heating element. The waterproof, easy-to-clean tempered glass top surface is also frosted and textured for safe access.

Does this sauna get the job done? Yes. Do you get what you pay for? Compared to other units costing hundreds of dollars more, yes. This sauna is best suited to a handy person willing to tweak it after market.

I ordered the three person for me – one person. I am 5’6″ and wanted to be able to lie down in the sauna and have a total immersion experience. Well, I can lie in it with my knees up but I do not get the benefit of the heat from the carbon panels since they mainly warm up what is directly in front of them. The panels do not extend down far enough to warm me. Also, there is no *really* comfortable way to sit in it with your back against the slats. They need to be another 1/2 to 1″ further away from the carbon panels. I end up with skin touching the panels some where no matter how I maneuver.

The second issue is the odor. I have had the sauna since February 2010 and the entire room still smells like hemlock.

The third issue is shrinkage. After only three months I get a slight breeze from the corners as the wood has shrunk. Again, this does not give me the total immersion experience I’m looking for. Since I don’t plan on moving the sauna, I will probably silicone the corners to get them air tight.

The fourth issue is the floor heater. The only function it provides is to give you a place to step that does not feel chilly. Since it takes longer to warm up then the carbon fibers and I doubt that the panel hits 90 degrees, it feels cool when you step in. The company would have been better off to add a panel on the front of the seat and left the floor plain wood.

The fifth issue is the radio. It is a car radio with mediocre reception and I would have preferred a simple mp3/disc player instead. In fact, an exterior plug in for an mp3 player would have been perfect. Then I could use my player without the heat wiping out the battery.

The sixth issue is the electrical cost. My electrical bill went up more than I had judged from the company’s claims.

The front panel is very heavy and is the only piece that showed any damage in shipping. There are a couple of dents in the edges, but I did not consider them significant enough to ask for a replacement. The front door has a thin weather strip made of material similar to the fluffy side of velcro. As the wood has shrunk I had to adjust the magnetic closure to maintain a decent seal. The door could use more or longer, stronger magnetic closures. A sliding door would work much better for keeping the heat in as the act of opening the door sucks the warm air out of the sauna.

Bottom line: For a lower end sauna, it is satisfactory.

Last note: I am extremely unhappy with the credit company Amazon provided. I purchased this with the one year, same as cash offer. I set up the account to be paid on line and to receive my bills via email. I could not set up a repeating payment. I made an early payment then paid my first bill the day I received it. Imagine my surprise when I went to make another payment only to find a $39.99 late charge. When I called them they told me in order to not have the payment show up as paid on the prior bill I needed to wait a week after I received the email to make a payment. This is the only company with which I have had this issue. Color me unhappy.

This is a great indoor sauna. It looks fantastic in a workout room. Super easy set-up. Took my husband and 13 year-old less than 30 minutes to put together. Works great, gets nice and hot quickly. The radio reception isn’t great, but the cd player is fine. Takes up a good bit of space. Three of my kids have gone in together, but I don’t think three adults would be very comfortable, unless they like sweating shoulder to shoulder! Great for two.

Arrived in good shape – no box damage.

(boxes are very heavy – we opened the boxes and moved the stuff in piece by pieces)

Installation:

Pretty simple and 1 strong person “might” be able to do it. I recommend at least two people regardless of strength because pieces are large (not that heavy) but are awkward to move keep in position if you were by yourself. Walls snap in place and elements just screw into power box. (very easy)

Function:

Our floor panel does not heat. This is the reason I got this unit was for the floor since I am on my feet a lot and my feet hurt a lot. It will not heat up. I wrote multiple emails to the address provided on the instruction Manuel with no response. (I checked the connections and they are correct and I don’t see any loose wires) but looks like I might have to ask an electrician to take a look. I am very upset with the lack of support on this product and as such I do not recommend it.

Pity too – because it looks nice, easy install and if the floor panel worked and/or customer service actually addressed the issue this would have be a 5 star review.
