Benefits of Traditional Sauna vs Infrared Sauna?

Could you help me list the benefits of Traditional Sauna and why we should not Infrared and stick to traditional?

Infrared heat has some distinct advantages over traditional steam heat saunas, however many steam sauna advocates feel that an infrared sauna does not provide the same relaxing and invigorating experience as steam for a steam sauna or steam shower. This is an issue of personal preference.

Infrared heaters warm the body in the same manner as natural sunlight. FIR heat therapy uses the wavelength of the visible and non-visible light spectrum of sunlight that heats the body normally.

Traditional steam saunas raise the temperature of the air to a very high level within the chamber to warm the body. Some people have difficulty breathing in this extremely warm air. FIR saunas work differently. Instead of heating the air within the enclosure, FIR saunas heat the body directly. The result is a lower power bill and deeper tissue penetration. In the FIR sauna, the body perspires and receives all of the healthy benefits but avoids the harmful and extremely hot air of a traditional steam sauna. FIR saunas are safe for all ages.

Traditional saunas are more likely to spread and cultivate bacteria in the humid air, therefore an infrared sauna creates a more sanitary environment. An Infrared Sauna will heat up in a shorter time period than a steam sauna because it can heat the skin directly and does not need to heat the air.

Benefits of Infrared Sauna – Discover a Healthy Way to Relax

The Infrared Sauna is not only good for relaxation, but has many health benefits that promote positive changes in our bodies. In today’s fast paced world, our bodies undergo alot of stress that can indirectly affect important internal functions. When our bodies are undergoing an elevated level of stress, the immune system can be compromised, allowing unwanted toxins and chemicals to interfere with vital internal tasks.

A natural way for our bodies to defend against these invading toxins is our very own sweat. Our complex system of sweating is a natural detoxification center. When we sweat our bodies act as a “flushing” system that rids any accumulated chemicals or toxins through our pores and out of our body.

Sauna technology has captured this idea and has taken advantage of the body’s natural defense. Sweat therapy has long been used by day spas and clinics to help rid the body of harmful toxins. An infrared sauna takes this one step further and enhances the body’s ability to sweat. The FAR infrared rays produced by an infrared sauna penetrate the skin well below the outer epidermal layer, which not only opens the pore space, but triggers a mechanism in our cells that make us sweat even more.

The technology in an infrared sauna is such that this process can be done in a comfortable and a “lower than traditional sauna” temperature.

There are many other benefits associated with the use of an infrared sauna. Not only can it detoxify our bodies, but it is commonly used to spot treat pain, increase circulation, battle insomnia, beautify the skin, boost the mood, reduce depression, and allow a place for people to unwind and relax.

Infrared technology can also be used in portable products, which allows the user to take the benefits of infrared sauna anywhere they go.
